"TANTANGAN MENGAJAR MUSIK DI ABAD KE-21" - by: Jelia Megawati Heru, Staccato (September 2014)

"TANTANGAN MENGAJAR MUSIK
DI ABAD KE-21"

Staccato (September 2014)

WELCOME TO THE 21st CENTURY!
Just “google” it! Tersesat? Nyalakan saja GPS di handphone Anda! Ingin mengetahui kabar teman dan kerabat Anda? Cek saja di media sosial! Ingin menonton video musik dari Berliner Phillharmony? Check it on youtube!

Treble Clef, Music Notes & Piano RAINBOW LOOM DIY

TREBLE CLEF, MUSIC NOTES
& PIANO RAINBOW LOOM DIY

It seems rainbow loom fever mode is in the air. A lot of my students gave me their masterwork pieces recently, that related to music. Personally, I find it really inspiring. So, I decided to make a post about the tutorial DIY that music related. I mean sometimes they told me, that drawing treble clef is hard for them, but now they're making treble clef out of rainbow loom? Okay, that's something I haven't see everyday ^_^

WHAT IS A RAINBOW LOOM?
Rainbow loom is a plastic loom used to weave colorful rubber bands into bracelets and charms. The Rainbow Loom kit includes a pegboard, a rainbow loom hook, 24 special C-shaped clips, and 600 small rubber bands in assorted colors. It was invented in 2011 by Cheong Choon Ng in a Malaysian immigrant of Chinese descent who came to the United States in 1991 to attend Wichita State University, where he earned a graduate degree in mechanical engineering. Targeted at children aged 8 to 14, Rainbow Loom became a popular pastime in summer camps and summer clubs in 2013, according to The New York Times and Today. Even though there's a lot of issue about its safety hazard for the fake and cheap ones. It doesn't make the fans stop to create their creative art. My advice is buy the original one, that safety hazard child-proof and made of non toxic material. Don't forget to wash your hands, every time you want to eat something! That's the standard procedure!

Margie Segers "The Lady of Jazz"

MARGIE SEGERS

PROFILE OF MARGIE SEGERS

Ask any Jazz musician in Indonesia about the history of Jazz in their country and the name Margie Segers will surely come into the conversation. Widely acknowledged as the songstress who started the Indonesian Jazz trend during the '70s.

Those with an ear for Jazz have compared Segers with Eva Cassidy and Dinah Washington. That being said, Segers is actually in a league of her own. Her original compositions and interpretations of familiar Pop songs or dynamic Jazz tunes has enraptured Jazz lovers across generations.

"I WILL SURVIVE!": Menyikapi Ujian Musik - by: Jelia Megawati Heru (Staccato, August 2014)

"I WILL SURVIVE!"
MENYIKAPI UJIAN MUSIK
by: Jelia Megawati Heru
Staccato Article (August 2014)

“Miss, kapan anak saya ikut ujian piano?”
(lho!? padahal belum genap empat kali pertemuan)

IMPOSSIBLE? Disini sepertinya kata itu berubah menjadi “I’M POSSIBLE!”

"KESALAHAN MEMBACA NOTASI BALOK" - by: Jelia Megawati Heru (Staccato, July 2014)

"KESALAHAN
MEMBACA NOTASI BALOK"
by: Jelia Megawati Heru
Staccato, July 2014

“What is your superpower?”
“I read music notes!”

So if you could read notes, thanks to your music teacher!

"VIVA LA PIANO" - Piano for Adult, by: Jelia Megawati Heru (Staccato, June 2014)

"VIVA LA PIANO"
PIANO FOR ADULT
by: Jelia Megawati Heru
Staccato, Juni 2014

“Saya harap dulu saya belajar piano waktu kecil...”
“Duh, nyesel! Tahu begini dulu aku nggak berhenti main piano...”

Mengapa fenomena “oh, how I love piano” ini terjadi?
